CommonLit

Promoting literacy education in the USA

CommonLit is a non-profit organization whose mission is to unlock the potential of every child through literacy by accelerating their reading, writing, speaking, and problem-solving skills.

Around 80% of low-income US students cannot read proficiently, and Black, Native American and Hispanic children are disproportionately affected by the literacy education opportunity gap. CommonLit focuses on reaching out to those students in low-income schools, which are often the last to get access to cutting-edge technology and quality reading materials, to ensure that more of them graduate high school with the reading and writing skills they need to be successful.

By working with CommonLit, The Syensqo Fund is helping to close the learning gap, while building connections between the company’s operations, its employees and the communities it works in.

The Syensqo Fund has been partnering with CommonLit since 2022 through the Epic Foundation, which connects innovative organizations forging solutions to today’s pressing challenges with the individuals and businesses who want to drive positive change.
